Portal milling
We use CNC 5-axis milling machines to turn your ideas into physical models, even in large component dimensions and with the most complex contours.
A uniform clamping system across several production and machining technologies(milling, grinding, die-sinking and wire erosion) and the high repeat accuracy of the CNC 5-axis milling machines guarantee reproducibly high workpiece quality. At the same time, set-up times are reduced and your investment is minimized. Almost all machinable materials can be processed(aluminum, various plastics, plastic block material, etc.).

GRP/CFRP laminates
Combining high loads with design freedom
Products made from fiber-reinforced plastics offer unimagined possibilities in the areas of lightweight construction, mechanical stress and design. They consist of a reinforcing fiber and a plastic matrix. Kegelmann Technik offers know-how in the design and production of fiber-reinforced plastics in the field of hand laminates made of CFRP/GFRP, as well as via resin injection molding (RTM).
CFRP - carbon fiber reinforced plastics and GFRP - glass fiber reinforced plastics are processed in-house. These materials offer freedom in design and at the same time have advantages in terms of mechanical strength compared to conventional materials.

Composite RTM
(Resin Transfer Molding)
RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) is a resin injection process that offers considerable advantages over conventional processes:
- - Good surface quality on both sides of the component
- - Integration of functions e.g. metal inserts or sandwich construction
- - Complex geometries can be mapped
- - Compliance with tight tolerances
- - Design based on mechanical stress
- - Reproducibility with higher quantities
- - No reworking necessary
Thanks to our expertise in toolmaking, we can produce plastic tools for small quantities or aluminum tools for small series. The right tool is the key to the successful implementation of RTM technology

Vacuum casting
Kegelmann Technik offers comprehensive technological solutions for the manufacture of vacuum cast products with properties such as transparency, erosion structure or high detail accuracy. Special prototypes require special materials. Highly stressed parts, for example, can be made from polyamide (PA).
On the basis of stereolithography master models, models and prototypes are produced in vacuum casting, which have near-series qualities without already being made from the corresponding material.
Vacuum casting technology is ideal for the cost-effective production of intricate objects and small test runs of 15 to 50 pieces in PU plastic (polyurethane). Whether different colors, optically transparent properties or finely structured surfaces - all this can be realized at any time.
Kegelmann Technik has developed a special polyurethane formulation with material advantages that conventional vacuum casting resins cannot offer, especially for applications where vacuum casting reaches its technological limits in terms of size or production run requirements. We prefer to produce complex medium to large parts in polyurethane using RIMFLEX® technology.
The RIMFLEX process is an excellent example of how the enormous technological expertise of our engineers optimizes both costs and quality through the many possible combinations of over 30 different manufacturing processes in our plant.

Rimflex®
Stable quality level across the entire batch size
Vacuum casting with silicone molds is an important part of rapid prototyping if the process limits in terms of batch sizes and component sizes are known. The in-house Rimflex®-Process from Kegelmann Technik increases the range of manufacturing processes for prototypes and thus improves the possibilities for designing costs, quality and component size during product development.

Cubing & Exhibits
Creation of demonstrators according to customer requirements
Cubing refers to the assembly of different body parts, for example, to form a complete vehicle. The different partial models can be fixed individually on a cubing stand. Technical modifications can then be made to this model. We offer this process in-house.
We can also produce trade fair exhibits, exhibition samples or demonstrators according to your wishes and ideas.
