Technology portfolio of the Handtmann Plastics Technology Division is being expanded
The Handtmann Group of Companies is pleased to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of Kegelmann Technik GmbH and Kegelmann Tooling GmbH & Co KG, based in Rodgau-Jügesheim in southern Hesse. Kegelmann is a pioneer in plastics technology with outstanding expertise in additive manufacturing and the production of prototype injection molds as well as small and special series production.
The acquisition enables Handtmann to expand its production capacities in the Plastics Technology Division with Kegelmann's state-of-the-art technologies and extensive know-how. With an established reputation for excellence in additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, and a specialization in the rapid development and production of prototype injection molding tools and parts, Kegelmann is a valuable addition to Handtmann's Plastics Technology Division.

The acquisition will also allow us to utilize our sustainable material innovations such as 'Lauramid Inject®' on a larger scale while strengthening our ability to implement resource-efficient processes. With the expanded technical capabilities, we can now offer our customers a fully integrated solution from material development to end product manufacturing that is not only economically but also environmentally beneficial."
The acquisition strengthens the position of Handtmann's Plastics Technology Division as an integrated supplier in plastics technology and opens up new opportunities for innovations in product development. Kegelmann brings with him not only an impressive list of customers and projects, but also a culture of innovation and agility that will contribute to the further growth of the Handtmann Plastics Technology Division.
